You’ll learn:

  • Strategies for handling bus routes, athletics, and other implementation challenges
  • Why the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that middle and high schools start after 8:30 AM to allow for sleep, health, and learning.
  • Effective communication and engagement approaches to build community and leadership support and encourage positive statewide or district action.
In the afternoon, participants will split up into smaller collaborative groups. Implementers will have a chance to problem-solve with other implementers who have managed this change in their own district while advocates will work with other advocates who have likewise led successful efforts.
