Welcome to Start School Later San Diego, CA!
Progress! On February 12, 2019, the Board of Education approved a resolution to implement Healthy Start Times for all high school students in the 2020-21 academic year. Beginning that year, high school start times will vary anywhere from 8:35 a.m. to 9:05 a.m.
Three district campuses will launch an early implementation of San Diego Unified’s Healthy Start Times initiative in the 2019-20 academic year. They are: La Jolla High School, the School of Creative and Performing Arts, and Muirlands Middle School. Beginning in May, we will hold information meetings across the district for parents, teachers, and community members to learn about Healthy Start Times. District staff will be present at the meetings to answer questions. Information meetings have been scheduled as follows: Healthy Start Times/Cluster Information Meetings 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
