Sleep Education Initiatives from Healthy Hours
Let’s Sleep! began as a joint initiative of Healthy Hours, dedicated to promoting sleep health and raising public awareness about the relationship of sleep and developmentally appropriate school hours to physical, psychological, and educational well-being, and Brigham & Women’s Hospital’s Division of Sleep & Circadian Disorders, led by Harvard Medical School’s sleep pioneer Dr. Charles Czeisler, and the nonprofit Healthy Hours.
Our team consists of sleep researchers, pediatricians and other medical professionals, psychologists, writers, and educators who share a common vision of creating compelling, accessible, and scientifically accurate sleep education materials for students, parents, teachers, and school administrators across the United States. Students, parents and guardians, teachers, and school administrators will all find resources tailored to their needs on our Let's Sleep! website. |
Sleep 101 is an award-winning online, interactive program developed jointly with the Sleep Health Institute at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and targeted at college students. This 45-minute program integrates videos, interactive activities, games, and more! Host it on your Learning Management System (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, and more) or have us host it on our platform and provide a link to you that you can share with students. Either way, you’ll be able to track student progress and completions. A full demo of the program is also available upon request. For more information, please contact us via the form below.
We also offer a version of Sleep 101 for students in grades 7-12. Sleep 101 is a novel and far-reaching approach to addressing healthy sleep in college students....[T]his one-hour course fits well into any existing suite of health and wellness programming, such as alcohol education and sexual assault programs for incoming students." - National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Asleep At The Wheel: A National Compendium of Efforts to Eliminate Drowsy Driving |
