The Delaware County chapter is the 6th local chapter in Pennsylvania.
Chapter Leader Sari Daisey writes, "I have two children in the Garnet Valley school district. I have struggled for the last five years waking my older son up at 6:00 a.m. to prepare for school and this year my younger son has started that process as he joins middle school. I saw the negative effects of the lack of sleep on my older son, but didn't think about the larger issue until I saw it repeated with my younger son. I began to research the issue and found irrefutable evidence to support moving school start times back. I understand that there are challenges, but if the children are our priority, then those obstacles can and have been overcome. There are few things that would make more of an impact in the health, safety and learning of our children. I encourage you to join this chapter so we can work together to make a difference."
