Sleep 101 is an award-winning online, interactive sleep education program for college students developed by sleep experts and used by institutions across the country. The 45-minute program uses videos, interactive activities, and games to provide a broad survey of the many ways that sleep affects life in college giving practical tips on how to improve sleep quality.

By asking your students to complete Sleep 101, you can help initiate a campus conversation on how to create a more positive culture around sleep, and you will be sending a message to students that sleep is valued at your institution.
There are many ways to use Sleep 101 – as a pre-orientation program; a part of a freshman seminar program or an extra credit offering in large survey courses; a resource for athletic coaches and student health services; or a sleep-norms conversation opener tied to residential life programming. Our team will help you figure out how to use the program most effectively based on your institutional structure and goals.
Our full campus license include access to Sleep 101 for all students, faculty, and staff on your campus for the specified duration. You may host the program directly on your campus’ Learning Management System (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Brightspace, etc. Alternatively, you may choose to have us host it on our LMS, and we will share a link with you that you may share with students.

By purchasing a license for Sleep 101, you acknowledge that you are engaging in a Non-Exclusive Content License Agreement to utilize Sleep 101, a copyrighted online sleep education program offered by Start School Later, Inc. d/b/a/ Healthy Hours (SSL), a not-for-profit Maryland corporation. For the term specified on your invoice, your institution is granted a non-exclusive, nontransferable, non-sublicensable license to use, display, and grant students, faculty, and staff at your institution access to the Sleep 101 program and associated material. The use of the content is restricted to university affiliates and may must only be accessible with a login or on a password protected page. Content may not be edited, modified, translated to another language, or reproduced without written approval from SSL. SSL is the owner of Sleep 101, including any customizations or derivative works made as a part of this agreement, and shall retain all right, title, and interest in and to the content, including without limitation, any and all information, copyrights, and copyrightable subject matter, trademarks, software, technology, know-how, updates and any and all other intellectual property rights contained therein. SSL shall have full control over the content, including the ability to modify, withdrawal, or update the content over time at its editorial discretion. We offer an option to host Sleep 101 on our Learning Management System or on your institution's Learning Management System. If your institution plans to host Sleep 101 on your Learning Management System, you agree to delete the file within 30 days of license termination date. Additionally, if hosting on your own LMS, you agree to replace the file with an updated version if SSL determines that the content need to be updated, edited, or modified during the term of your license. Please note that the content in Sleep 101 was designed to be appropriate for the general population based on the medical industry standards for consumer health and medical reference materials prevailing at the time of publication. By purchasing a license to this course, you acknowledge that while the content has been prepared with due care, SSL does not represent or warrant that the content (i) is medically accurate for all individuals, (ii.) is intended to be used as a source of medical advice or as a substitute for visits to medical care providers, or (iii) should be relied upon by any person or entity for purposes of medical diagnosis or treatment.
