Houston ISD standardized their bell schedules since 2018-19 academic year. The rest of the Houston area has the largest cluster of early daily high school start times in the state. SSL Texas is advocating for healthy schools for middle and high schools in this area. Cy-Fair ISD, like districts around the country, are experiencing driver shortages. Early school start times require irregular hours for drivers creating problems with getting their own children to school!
