Chapter leader Dr. Andrew Smith is an anesthesiologist who understands the need for sleep. He is also a concerned parent, so he has both professional and personal experience on how sleep deprivation affects others.
Start School Later Bellevue, WA is leading the charge to educate the local community and schools about the need to start schools at a healthy hour. The Bellevue School District (BSD) serves the communities of Bellevue, Clyde Hill, Medina, Hunts Point, Yarrow Point, Beaux Arts, and parts of Newcastle, Kirkland, Issaquah, Redmond and unincorporated Kings County. Its engaged parent network and the Bellevue Schools Foundation actively advocate for students. Bellevue, WA is Start School Later's 27th local chapter of Start School Later, Inc and its third chapter in Washington state. |
