ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Start School Later's 2024 National Conference addresses the critical need for safe, healthy, equitable school start times for adolescents, supporting efforts to ensure that every adolescent benefits from school hours that allow for healthy sleep. It will be held October 18-19, 2024 at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. The 1.5-day conference unites a diverse roster of presenters and participants, including school board members, legislators and other policymakers, researchers, school administrators, teachers, healthcare professionals, community advocates, and community stakeholders — each bringing their unique perspective and expertise to the table. Expert presentations and interactive workshops will offer opportunities for stakeholders to review cutting-edge research, share proven implementation strategies, and create invaluable networking connections. Together we will share experience, research, and strategies to collectively overcome real and perceived challenges associated with establishing safe, healthy, and equitable school schedules. The conference will include complimentary continental breakfast both mornings, lunch on the first day, and hors d'oeuvres at the Friday evening reception.
