Welcome to Start School Later Massachusetts!
Thank you very much for your past support of the Start School Later petition for healthy school start times. I’m excited to report that a school start time bill is now up for consideration before the Joint Committee on Education!
This bill would support all Massachusetts school districts in implementing healthier school start times. We need your help so that the bill can proceed to the next step in the legislative process. To help make this happen, please send an email to your state legislators asking them to request that the Chairs of the Joint Committee report favorably on this bill. |

Thank you to everyone who took the time to email or call your legislators in January. This outreach resulted in a grand total of 38 cosponsors for the School Start Time study bill!! Together, we have also raised awareness of this issue among legislators who now may be more likely to support the bill when it comes up for a vote.
You can now track the bill online here: https://malegislature.gov/Bills/191/HD2810 |

Doing so will align school schedules to the biological sleep rhythms of adolescents, whose sleep-wake cycles begin to shift up to two hours later at the start of puberty." - Read more.
